Help and Advice (FAQ)

Special Transportation

What is special transportation?
Whether you are looking for a fantasy/fairy tale wedding with a horse-drawn carriage or seeking a more traditional means of transportation with a limousine, you will be faced with a wide array of options for your desired services. Have fun on your wedding day and cherish the special time you have alone in the unique transportation of your choice. It might be the only time during your wedding that the two of you will be alone.

Is special transportation just for “Going Away”?
Special transportation can be used throughout the wedding, not just as a “get-a-way” at the end of the reception. The transportation company of your choice should be willing to discuss with you all the options and ideas on how to incorporate their services into your wedding to create a romantic and unique impression. No matter what you decide, always make sure you leave plenty of time for photo opportunities. Notify your photographer of your special transportation plans so he/she can plan to capture every detail on film.

How early should I reserve my transportation?
Plan Ahead...A common mistake many couples make is overlooking the importance of planning ahead for wedding transportation. You should plan at least three to six months in advance to ensure availability. When you do make your reservation, it is best to provide your transportation service with instructions on times and locations of where you would like them to be.

Is a contract really necessary?
Once you make your reservation, insist on getting a written contract. The contract should include the date, itinerary, rates, deposit amount, and cancellation policy. Make sure you and the transportation company exchange contact information for the day of the wedding should a change of plans occur.
